Inner peace is when one finds truth. Truth ‘is’. Truth never changes. There is but one truth. There is no ego in truth. That is inner peace.
Moments

In the greater scheme of things we have moments. Moments you will only notice if you are in the moment. The journey is so much more than the destiny.
If we could be truly in the moment – the moment would present us with so much more and teach us truth. Knowing that the destiny is only a tiny part of the journey. Once reached we are enclined to search for the next destiny. Understanding that there is a process and it is worth giving it a chance to experience stuff beyond our limited expectation or anticipation.
Black Cat

- Jan: “What do you want lady. Oh, a pose. Yes”
- Jan: Mayby – just maybe – I should rather do this.
- Jan: “Hierdie is my beste kant.”
Jan, came into our lives about 10 / 11 years ago. He belonged to my daughter. He was one of the most fascinating animals I have ever had the privilege of caring for. He terrorised Ginger (the current mistress of the house then). Every time you saw him he was busy with something that would irritate, offend, get your hackles up, disturbed the peace, etc. But like all original beasts, they get under your skin.
At the moment he is an old man with an extra refined attitude. He’s voice changed from a normal cat sound to someone who has smoked his whole life. He is fed on demand and sleeps on our bed. Something we never allowed. (Everybody mellows with age). He will not leave your side until he has had a satisfactorily cat scratch, bumping and pushing with his head. You literally need to hide your hands from him.
In the morning he runs to the bathroom with you. Sitting or standing at the loo – he sneaks around you and bites your toes. When moving around the bed/bathroom in an effort to get dressed, he will cut you off and direct you to the door, then literally gallop to the kitchen for a feed.
During the day he skulks around the house and plays soldier spy. When he sees you he runs away, hides behind a door or anything else he regards as a hiding place and comes out after you have passed.
Reflections on holiday

The reflections in the water or the mirror are true reflections of what I see. I don’t see what others see. So what I see is not real but truth. As truth is our perception of reality and reality is real.
I must consider my judgment carefully when I express it. My truth is tainted with my life experiences and our life experiences are different. I look up at the real and reflect with consideration what I see in the reflection and what makes me respond to what I see. Christopher Morley said:
“Truth, like milk,
arrives in the dark
But even so, wise dogs don’t bark.
Only mongrels make it hard
For the milkman to come up the yard.”
